Limited-Time Event Brings Exclusive Gear, New Game Mode, and Improvements
Destiny 2's annual Solstice event is returning from July 18th to August 8th, bringing with it a wealth of content for players to enjoy. The event features exclusive gear, a new game mode, and a host of improvements.
Exclusive Gear to Earn
During the Solstice event, players will have the chance to earn exclusive gear that cannot be obtained at any other time. This includes new weapons, armor, and cosmetic items. Players will be able to earn these items by participating in the new game mode, completing challenges, and opening Solstice Packages.
New Game Mode: Bonfire Bash
The Solstice event will also introduce a new game mode called Bonfire Bash. This mode pits two teams of six players against each other in a race to collect and burn ingredients to light up a bonfire. The first team to reach 100% progress on their bonfire wins the match.
Improvements to Solstice
In addition to the new gear and game mode, the Solstice event will also feature a number of improvements. These improvements include:
- Increased loot drops: Players will earn more loot from activities during the Solstice event.
- Reduced grinding: The amount of grinding required to earn rewards has been reduced.
- Improved matchmaking: Matchmaking has been improved to make it easier to find matches.
