Golden State Warriors Roster 2023

Golden State Warriors 2022-23 Season in Review

Dominant Start, Playoff Disappointment

The Golden State Warriors entered the 2022-23 season as defending NBA champions, but their title defense fell short. Despite a strong start to the season, the Warriors faltered in the second half and finished 6th in the NBA Western Conference with a 44-38 record.

Key Stats

* Stephen Curry: 32.4 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 6.3 APG * Klay Thompson: 21.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 3.8 APG * Draymond Green: 8.9 PPG, 6.9 RPG, 6.3 APG

Regular Season Highlights

The Warriors began the season on fire, winning their first 11 games. Stephen Curry was once again the team's leading scorer, averaging over 30 points per game. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green also had strong seasons, providing support on both ends of the floor.

However, the Warriors hit a rough patch in the second half of the season. They lost 6 of their last 8 games and failed to secure the home-court advantage for the playoffs.

In the playoffs, the Warriors were eliminated in the second round by the Memphis Grizzlies. Despite a strong performance by Curry, the Warriors were unable to overcome the Grizzlies' physicality and defensive intensity.

The 2022-23 season was a disappointing one for the Warriors, but they remain one of the most talented teams in the NBA. With Curry, Thompson, and Green still leading the way, the Warriors should be contenders for the championship again next season.
